Part-time support positions such as Instructional Aides, Clerical, Service/Maintenance are generally only advertised in local newspapers and listed with WorkSource.  Check out the classified section of The Columbia Basin Herald for those job openings.

 Part-Time Instructors

WANTED: Part-Time Instructors

Big Bend Community College is seeking to expand the part-time instructional pool for day and evening classes on and off campus in the following areas:

Adult Basic Education, Aviation, Biological Sciences, Business & Accounting, Chemistry, Engineering, English, English as a Second Language, Foreign Languages, History, Industrial Electricity, Maintenance Mechanic Tech, Mathematics, Music, Nursing, Office Information Tech, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Religious Studies, Sociology, Speech, Teaching/Education, Welding Tech.

Academic positions generally require a Master's degree; occupational/technical positions require expertise and two years recent full-time work experience in the field.

Contact our Human Resource Office at 509.793.2008 or e-mail to request an application for the part-time instructional pool.  A Part-Time Teaching Application is available online.  To apply, please submit a completed and signed Part-Time Teaching Application and copies of all college transcripts and/or certificates if applicable (if hired, official transcripts will be required).

Part-time instructional pool applications are accepted at the Human Resources Office.  The HR Office keeps a copy of your application and forwards the original application to the Vice President of Instruction/Student Services Office.  A copy is then sent from that office to the appropriate dean's office.  If the appropriate dean's office or vp's office is interested in speaking to you regarding your application, they will contact you; otherwise, your application is kept in the pool of part-time applicants for the academic year.
